    This study has a purpose to know: 1) The differences in physics learning outcomes of students’ through cooperative learning GI (Group Investigation) and STAD (Student Teams Achievement of Division) with experimental method. 2) The higher average study result between cooperative learning GI and STAD with experimental method. This study used a quasi experimental design. The instrument to collect data was a test, which consists of 10 questions for 70 students. The results showed: a) There are differences in the study result of students through cooperative learning GI and STAD with experimental method, b)The average study result, which uses cooperative learning GI is more higher than STAD.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) perbedaan hasil belajar fisika siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI (Group Investigation) dan STAD (Students Teams Achievement Of Division) dengan metode eksperimen. 2) rata-rata hasil belajar yang lebih baik melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dan STAD dengan metode eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi eksperimental design. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes soal sebanyak 10 soal kepada 70 siswa.     A rare occurrence of plasma cell myeloma with biclonal gammopathy

    Plasma cell myeloma is known to cause expansion of a single clone of immunoglobulin (Ig) which results in the secretion of a unique homogeneous monoclonal protein (M component). However, there are cases which reported that it can also cause production of two different clones of these monoclonal M proteins. Although it is relatively very rare as the prevalence is only 2% of all plasma cell myeloma cases, the clinical features are said to be similar to monoclonal gammopathy. It is suggested that these biclonal gammopathy results from either one monoclonal cell clone in monoclonal gammopathy or two different monoclonal cell clones. Whichever the mechanism of the disease be, the response to treatment seems to be similar as compared to the monoclonal cases although some reports shows chemoresistant. Here, we report a rare case of plasma cell myeloma with IgG (lambda) and IgA (lambda) type of biclonal gammopathy, the clinical presentation, the haematological and biochemical markers as well as the response to the treatment

    Feasibility of LoRa Implementation for Remote Weather Monitoring System through Field Measurement and Case Study Analysis

    This paper discusses the feasibility of Long Range Wide-area network (LoRa-WAN) implementation for weather data collection and transmission in remote locations, specifically in east Malaysia. Currently, Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has installed more than 100 weather stations around Malaysia, and out of this number, there are many stations, mostly in east Malaysia that are dependent on Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) services for data transmission due to unavailability of mobile coverage. Due to significant cost of VSAT subscription, LoRa communication is proposed as an alternative solution due to its low power, low-cost, and long range characteristics. In this paper, the study has been performed through two stages; first, technical performance of LoRa network was validated through field measurement in urban areas to determine the actual LoRa characteristics in real condition. In the measurement, a LoRa module operating at 433 MHz was used to demonstrate a single channel LoRa gateway that acted as a bridge to communicate between LoRa node to IP network. Parameters such as received power spectrum and free space path loss were recorded for analysis. Second, based on the measured data, extrapolation of maximum feasible distance of LoRa signal propagation was done to analyze the viability of implementing LoRa in various locations of existing weather stations in Sabah and Sarawak. Two case studies are presented in this paper, with the aim to evaluate the suitable location of LoRa gateway to establish communication with the existing weather stations when LoRa network is used. Detailed link budget analysis was performed for each scenario. Based on the comparison between theoretical and measurement, the power transmitted from LoRa node shows inconsistent readings throughout the day, suspected due to the changes in spread factor that has been automatically set by the module. Nevertheless, taking into account this factor, it was found that the transmission range was adequate for some remote locations. Meanwhile, for some locations that are separated too far from each other, higher power is needed to allow consistent communication

    The Sufi order against religious radicalism in Indonesia

    This study aimed to analyse the contribution of the Sufi order in stemming religion-based violence as a form of the Sufis’ response to rampant violence, extremism and religious radicalism. This study used a qualitative method in which the data were obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Then they were analysed by using an interactive model. This study was carried out in three Sufi communities of the Sufi order Qadariyah wan Naqshabandiyah (TQN) in Indonesia, namely in Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School, Futuhiyyah Islamic Boarding School Mranggen and Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Jombang. The results of the study show that the three TQN orders have the concepts of dhikr and love, which are internalised in the act of Sufism. The Sufi order has the doctrines of love of God, mutual love, discourse of moderation and tolerance towards religion and other groups as the main instruments in the fight against religious radicalism. The resistance of the Sufis to religious radicalism shows that the Sufi order is cornered from attacks by formalist groups in religion. This fact reopens the historical archive of contradictions between the two major currents of Islamic thought and movement, Salafi versus Sufi. The counter-radicalism narrated by the Sufis of the three TQN communities represents their defensive attitude towards the aggressiveness of the textual and radical Salafis. Contribution: This article contributes to prevent and reduce the rise of religious radicalism in Indonesia. The doctrines of tanbih, mahabbah, tolerance and moderatism developed by the Sufis in the three TQN communities became a source of reference and inspiration for resistance to violence and religious radicalism

    Analysis and Identification of Data Heterogeneity on Learning Environment Using Ontology Knowledge

    Heterogeneity on learning environment is about different data and applications to support a learning process in education institutions. Distributed and various systems on learning environment is the current issues to produce big and heterogeneity data problem. A lot of relationships are formed between elements on learning environment. The element on learning environment consists of learning data, learning applications, data sources, learning concept, and data heterogeneity aspect on learning environment. These elements are interrelated and produce complex relationship between each other. A complex relationship problem between elements on learning environment makes a process of analysis and identification difficult to be done. Existing method to drawing this heterogeneity problem make confuse and misunderstanding readers. To solved this problem, researcher using ontology knowledge to describe and draw a semantic relationship that represent the complexity of data relationship on learning environment. The result of this analysis is to develop ontology knowledge to solve complexity relationship on learning environment, and also to help reader\u27s better understanding the complex relationship between elements on learning environment

    The Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction on Employee Loyalty: A Case Study of a Developer Company in Malaysia

    Employees’ loyalty is being described as the ability of the employee or staff members of the organization to stay and contribute well in their jobs for such a long term. In the recent years, resignation of employees did show an increment in many companies in Malaysia. This research specifically study on a developer company which is one of the constructions developers company in Johor, Malaysia The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors of training, rewards and benefits and working condition as determinants toward employee loyalty and how job satisfaction mediate the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables as the factors that influence the employee loyalty in organizations. A stratified sampling method was adopted as the sampling method and questionnaires is chosen as the research instrument adopted previous researcher and adopt it into this research. Respondents of this research consists of 155 respondents who are employees of the developer company. In general, we conclude that employee loyalty in the developer company has positive relation between the working condition, rewards and benefits, training and job satisfaction and confirms the partial mediation of Job Satisfaction between the independent variables, rewards/benefits and training with employee loyalty.     Keywords: Employee Satisfaction, Employee Loyalty, Working Condition, Training, Malaysi

    Diuretic properties of Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.

    Ethnopharmacological relevance: Orthosiphon stamineus has been used in traditional medicine for centuries especially to treat diseases of the urinary system. Aim of the study: To investigate the diuretic activity, to elucidate its possible mechanism and to evaluate the renal effects of Orthosiphon stamineus extract. Materials and methods: Water extracts were administered orally at doses of 5 and 10 mg/kg to Sprague-Dawley rats and the control groups were given commercial diuretic drugs either furosemide or hydrochlorthiazide at 10 mg/kg. Urine volume, urine pH, urine density and urine electrolytes were determined every hour for 4 h. Blood was assayed for glucose, albumin, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine. Results: O. stamineus extract exhibited dose-dependent diuretic activity. However, excretion of Na+ and Cl- was not markedly elevated, but urinary excretion of K+ was significantly increased. O. stamineus extracts slightly increased the serum BUN, creatinine and blood glucose level. Although these levels were statistically significant when compared to control, these levels were still within normal range. Conclusions: O. stamineus exhibited diuretic activity, but was less potent than furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide. Care should be taken when consuming this herb as slight increase of kidney function enzymes was recorded

    COVID-19 infection and vaccine status in patients with chronic kidney diseases

    Background: The COVID-19 virus has had a great effect globally, changing many commonalities. The incidence of COVID-19 had weakened the immune system, leading to more severe outcomes of various common diseases. Since its early development, the vaccination of COVID-19 has also had mixed responses. The aim of the study was to observe the incidence rate of COVID-19 infection and vaccination status among chronic kidney disease patients. Methods: In this study 50 (27 male and 23 female) adult skulls were investigated to determine the type of asterion, its distance from important bony landmarks and also the nearby venous sinuses were measured. Results: Majority (41.61%) of the participants had been between the ages of 41-55 years old, and 64.84% male prevalence was observed. 60.65% of the participants had been from rural areas. A large portion of the participants (38.06%) did not have any comorbidities, while multiple comorbidities were present among many of the remaining participants. Hypertension was the most common comorbidity, observed in 56.45% of the participants. 72.26% of the present study participants had been asymptomatic, while 13.23% had a fever as their symptom of COVID-19. COVID-19 test was done on 81 patients, among whom 64 had tested positive. Among the total 310 participants, 29.03% had not received any vaccinations, while 14.19% had received only 1st dose of vaccination, 47.2% had received up to their 2nd dose, and 9.35% had received their booster dose. Conclusions: The present study observed a low incidence rate of COVID-19 positive patients among those affected by chronic kidney disease. However, the study also observed a significant positive relation between COVID-19 positive patients and the need for additional medical support, leading to the conclusion that COVID-19 can significantly affect the severity of CKD.
